New Year's Eve Extravaganza

We didn't do much all day...except be lazy of course. We stayed in our jammies for the majority of the day until we decided to take a bath....then the kids decided to run around in only underwear/diaper. Bella put on a show with her new guitar and microphone...Gavin listened in horror. Only a baby brother could love a beautiful, nasaly voice like hers. :) Once Chris got home, we put our jammies back on and headed to get something to eat and get some movies. :) The kids (Bella and Chris) decided to get the "fireworks" started early. Gavin was scared! It was sad. I tried to capture it all on camera...so here ya go...

The guitar just before the concert

Getting ready to perform

A little Taylor Swift anyone?

A little embarrassed that I was taking pictures

Not anymore...she decided to REALLY let loose

"Lala...please make it stop" haha!

Our supper

Indoor noise/confetti makers

Bella didn't really know what she was doing

It sure did scare Gavin though

Outside for a few fireworks...if that's what ya wanna call em :)

I call it a smokey mess

Bella didn't care...she LOVED it

Gavin seemed to like it too

I just love the way Bella dresses herself for cold weather...haha

A night is NEVER complete without a little chocolate

Well folks...this was it...our New Year's Eve. It may have seemed a little boring, but we wouldn't have it any other way. There is nothing better than spending it with the ones you love the most. Happy New Year everyone! :) I Love you daddy!!!

This and that - and a little "what's that?"

I don't have too much to post about. Nothing exciting really happens around here. ha! Well...it's exciting to us, but...

I can't believe 2009 is coming to an end. It's sad to me because Gavin was born in 2009...how can it end so soon?! That leads me into my greatest accomplishments of 2009:

1. Gavin was born 3/12/2009 - one of the best days of my life :)
2. I got away from my old workplace (lots of negativity there)
3. Started my own in-home daycare and LOVE it!
4. Made some dear new friends

It doesn't seem like a lot of accomplishments, but they are the greatest! I sure hope 2010 is just as wonderful. :) (minus a new baby of course) lol

Happy New Year!

"What's that?"

Gavin has been saying "what's that?", but it's hard to get on video. I decided to try again today and actually succeeded! He also calls Bella - "LaLa"...it's very sweet. He loves her tremendously....and she loves her "baby sugies" too (even though she totally ignored him in this video) haha

A very Eastham Christmas

I can't believe Christmas is over! I am a little sad... Here are the highlights of our first Christmas with Gavin (not in my belly). :) Santa came to visit the kids and even brought us a blue ray player, a new camera, and a gps thingy. The kids got waaayyyy too much....which leads me to my New Year's resolution: I want to teach my kids to be kind and generous. I don't want them to be greedy and unkind. It is ALWAYS better to give...that is what Jesus did for us. LEARN this lesson please! :)

I had so many pictures I wanted to put on here, but I couldn't post ALL of them because you would be here until next Christmas just looking at them . ha! So...I posted my favorites.

Playing on the bed with dad

Opening up their present from Aunt Jessica

Bella loved hers!

Gavin stuffed a whole piece of chocolate in his mouth...lol

Cookies for who? I thought they were for Santa!

Not for Gavin either!

Making the reindeer food

I thought this was cute...Bella and Chris...she looks tiny!

Daddy bought Gavin a JD tractor...he pushed it all over the kitchen

I am just glad there were some cookies left for Santa...lol

Christmas morning

This is how we found Gavin haha!

Oh MY! Santa DID come!

And...he filled the stockings too!!!

Bella had to put all of her stuff out of Gavin's reach...

I'm not sure he really cared...haha

Santa Claus 2009

I had to share this picture with you! We went to Arvest bank in Bryant for a free picture with Santa. We LOVE free stuff, so of course we jumped on that! It turned out SOOOO great! I thought Gavin would be afraid to just be thrown on a stranger's lap...but he laughed and enjoyed himself! Bella was just in awe that it was Santa. Bella reminded him of what she wanted (barbie camper), and he reassured her that there were plenty of them back in the workshop. It was a great time for the both of them. :)

World Peace?

I caught Gavin playing in the cabinet. I probably should have made him stop and said, "no no", but I just watched and laughed. :) It made him happy! I didn't want to steal that away. It's so funny how the simplest things like playing in a cabinet can make him happy. Maybe if our world played in cabinets more? :) By golly...I have figured out World Peace! Have a great day and enjoy the pictures of the cutest little guy EVER playing in the cabinet. I also added a couple of pictures of Bella drinking hot chocolate and getting it everywhere - WHY?...because it made her happy of course! :)

This was his first time to discover that there was a drawer there. lol

He already knew that the doors opened, but didn't get this far with it!

He lost his balance...

But...then he noticed me. :) Cute boy.

The biggest cup of hot chocolate plus the cutest little five year old = ?

Happiness :)

And a chocolate mouth LOL

Garvan Gardens

We went to Hot Springs to see the lights at Garvan Gardens (we have heard a ton of good things) . It only took us about 40 minutes to get there, but once we were there - we were stuck in a line of traffic waiting to park. This went on for oh...about an hour! Once we were parked, we had to walk...walk...and walk to a line that was as long as...well...it was LLLOOOONNNGGGG. We waited in that line and in the cold for another 20-30 minutes and FINALLY got to the entrance. Oh and in line there was this really short lady behind me...Chris called her "Oompa Loompa" (mean I know but she was really that short and round)...but she was very annoying. She was all up in my Koolaid...I mean seriously. I couldn't even move an inch or she would move too...touching me and everything. I mean come on lady...get off me! Every time I stepped out of line to walk around to the front of the stroller to give Gavin a snack, she would scoot up - so basically I was pushed out of line. And she and the people she was with were the kind of people that talk rrrreeeeeaaaallllyyyy loud so other people can hear them. You know...the kind of people that think their conversation is extremely funny and wish to share with EVERYONE. UGH! Okay...enough about Oompa Loompa (mean I know). Here are some pictures.

Gavin's face is priceless :)

Bella was the cutest pink wearing girl there. :)

A nice lady took our picture - we were definitely bundled up

It was very beautiful

Bella liked the gingerbread men

I liked walking under this tunnel - very magical feeling

:)

This was at the very end...right before the meltdown. LOL

See...at the very end of the trail, they give you hot chocolate (it's free..and yummy), but it's very hot! Bella is the kind of child that can't be patient and wait on anything ( I have NO idea where she gets that from). :) Anyway...she cried...and complained...and well...we just ended up pouring most of the hot chocolate out. Sad...sad... Now we know what to do next year. Everyone should visit Garvan Gardens this time of year - it really is very magical, despite a couple of meltdowns. Love you dad!
